I am a PhD Candidate at Syracuse University (expected graduation May 2025).
I am a scholar of LGBT+ studies operating at the nexus of sociology, queer theory, and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. I study queer and trans inequality with a framework that recognizes gender and class as major sociological forces in heteronormativity.
My teaching experience spans 11 years, including eight total years as a teaching assistant with instructor of record roles, and three years as an adjunct professor at the University of Montana. I have taught courses in departments of women’s, gender, and sexualities; sociology; and I helped teach an interdisciplinary quantitative methods course for the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
